Pictured at right is Dual Grand Squirrel Champion, Nite Champion, Champion Al's Lady. I want to thank Mr. Al Weygandt for letting me have this outstanding female. Lady is out of the infamous cross of Gaietto's Jukebox and Deaton's Queenie II. She is a stay put tree dog that trees up on the tree. I have bred Lady twice to Franklin's Thunder Sport. The pups from both litters have made early starting natural tree dogs. I plan to only hunt her in the bigger hunts. She is 10 years old, and I use her as a pup trainer. She is by far one of the best Original Mountain Cur females that I have had the pleasure to own or hunt. |

Greetings from Gobblers Knob. I figured that it was about time that I got around to updating my website. Highlighted at the top of this page is my new dog, Al's Lady. I acquired Lady from Al Weygandt. I have owned her now for about two years and she is the real deal. She is registered with I think six different registries. She is a N.K.C. Grand Squirrel Champion, Nite Champion and Show Champion. She is also a W.T.D.A. Grand Squirrel Champion. She only needs 25 points to finisher into a nite champion. She also has championship points in the other registries. I presently have four pups out of Lady that I am real impressed with. I am still hunting with my old partner Howard Harley. We have had a real enjoyable hunting season this fall. We did quite a bit of waterfowl hunting. I managed to kill a nice gobbler in the spring. We have killed in the neighborhood of 100 squirrel this fall. Doesn't sound like a lot, but trust me, we have treed a whole bunch more than that. I hate to kill squirrel, unless I eat them or have someone that wants them to eat. Some of the local hunters around here feel that they have to kill everything that their dogs tree. Pretty soon they aren't going to have anything to hunt. This year we caught 76 coon. We didn't hunt hard and would go out for a couple of hours and then go back to the house. I think I have to admit that old age is catching up with me. I just can't go all night, night after night like I could when I was younger. I have introduced my grandson, Austin Roblin to hunting, and we are having a ball. I still on occasion have broke dog or started dogs for sale. If I don't have what your looking for, maybe I can find it for you. Right now I don't have any plans to raise any pups in the near future. Oh yea, don't forget to take a kid hunting. I am a firm believer that if you take you kids hunting when they are young, you won't have to hunt for them when they are older. |

Squirrel Champion Meadowbrook Mountain Goldie Goldie with a catch of coon when she was in her prime. She is pretty much retired now. I might consider selling her to someone who just wants to kill a few squirrels with a dog. She is 10 years old and in good health. She would be priced reasonable. |
Deaton's Treeing Dixie Young female out of Lady and Thunder Sport. She is a hard hunting young dog in the process of being trained. I may possibly raise some pup out of her if she turns out like I think she will. She is a blue brindle. She flat hates a coon!!!!! |
